The mission of our men’s ministries is to help men build their lives as they endeavor to be effective husbands and fathers and mentors; to be a strong, godly influence in their community; and to do their part in reaching the world for Jesus Christ. This is done through Bible studies, Home Plate baseball outing, golf tournament, fall turkey shoot, wild game dinner, retreats, breakfasts and other activities.
We have counseling services available that emphasize the grace of God and the unchanging counsel of His Truth for all people. Our counselors are approved through NANC, the National Association of Nouthetic (Biblical) Counselors. Their services are available to members and non members of Fist Baptist. At First Baptist Church we endeavor to fulfill the great commission given by our Lord to reach the world as we partner with nearly 100 co-laborers in over 40 countries. As the old adage says, “the sun never sets on the ministry of First Baptist Church.”
Junior and Senior high students meet in the Youth Department on Sunday morning and Wednesday evenings. They are also challenged to make sure they possess a real faith that is exercised in their every day lives. They have activities such as fellowships, camps, retreats to help them grow, as well as opportunities to serve others.
The mission of our women’s ministries is to encourage and equip women to grow in their walk with Christ through Bible study, prayer, fellowship and mentoring so they may become more Christ-like in their attitudes and behavior in their homes, church and communities. Activities include morning and evening Bible studies during fall and winter; mentoring, retreats and conferences, Spring Fling, Awesome Autumn Activity (expert cooks and craftsmen show ideas for the holidays), Lunch Bunch (once a month lunch meeting for women 55 and over), Bound Together (Christian book club), and others.
AWANA ministry is held on Wednesday night and is for children from the age of 3 years right through high school. It is a program of Bible memorization, sound and principled Bible teaching, and physical activity meant to foster a real sense of what it means to be a Christian. AWANA helps churches and parents partner to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ.
Many areas of service are available for everyone interested in music, which plays a vital role in worship and praise of our Lord. Our worship services are designed to take us into the presence of our God. Each service usually includes congregational singing and vocal and instrumental special music. We strive to blend the hymns of the faith with today’s best worship and praise music.
In addition we enjoy solos, duets, trios and quartets, as well as an adult and teen handbell choir. Special musicals are often accompanied by drama, especially during the holidays.

We have a great staff of dedicated volunteers who work with children in clean, attractive, well planned facilities, so that you can enjoy classes and worship service yourself. Our beautiful new nursery is for newborns through the age of three. Infants and toddlers are separated and all enjoy the hand painted animals on the walls.
Children aged 3-5 are in the Beginner Department, and remain there for Little Folks Church through the morning worship service. From first grade through sixth they learn in Kid’s Korner. Through exciting, relevant curriculum all our children will be challenged and inspired to develop and grow in their faith in Jesus Christ.
